Cease Striving, and know.

The original Hebrew is just one word. Most versions translate it "be still." But the NASB95 includes striving.

What is striving? It's a lack of trust. A feeling that I have to do everything myself — that if I'm not busy, things won't work out the way I want them to.

But maybe they shouldn't work out the way I want them to.

The prayer of a righteous man is more effective than all the striving we'll ever fit into one lifetime. And righteousness is found in Jesus alone.
